The office stretches across two Gateway towers in one of the busiest districts of Hong Kong - Tsim Sha Tsui's Canton Road. Our design proposal takes cues from the intersection / bridge between the two towers - coined the Platz (in German: plaza) - where the lounging, informal meetings, hot desks, presentations and events take place. This was possible thanks to the efficient workstation layout which takes into consideration the qualities of the two tower's architecture, thus fully benefiting from the daylight and a proximity to the Kowloon park. Alike in the lobby area, the Platz houses company's multiple furniture products. The open part has a large table for gatherings and multiple coffee machine products that the company makes. The inner part is dedicated for staff's daily cooking operations, and it was imagined to be enclosed by opaque walls. We opted for the use of fluted glass panels which create a mystical, cinematic effect, creatively marrying both parts.
