RADDAR

RAD DAR

in Montenegrin:

RAD=Work
DAR=Talent

RADDAR is an international practice founded in Hong Kong in 2018. After two decades of studying and working in several countries and experiencing the design and construction phases in different cultural and professional settings, Slobo Radoman founded RADDAR to bridge the gaps between design, project management and construction. Our team oversees the entire process which optimizes projects' delivery time, energy and budget. For projects in Hong Kong and Mainland China, RADDAR has delivered interior projects as a one-stop-shop company, from design to delivery.

The RADDAR team is small yet diverse, with broad expertise, strong skills and the ambition to exceed client’s expectations. It consists of full-time staff as well as project-based staff, currently based in Hong Kong, China, Bali and Sweden. RADDAR carefully studies the project’s brief with a critical eye, finding potential for the design innovation from the first contact with the client. By answering the fundamental questions about the project's constraints RADDAR aims for informed design that reveals the project's unique potentials.

Slobodan
Radoman

Slobodan (Slobo) Radoman is a Montenegrin architect living in Hong Kong. Having lived only six years in his home country, Slobo has a natural ability to adapt to different cultures while contributing to them with his critical eye and a bold approach to design. Slobo got an International Baccalaureate Diploma at United World College of the Atlantic in the UK, a BA in Architecture Diploma at Harvard College and an MArch Diploma at MIT, where he also received an Urban Design Certificate. He received several academic awards among which a full scholarship at UWCA and Harvard College, as well as a Legatum Fellowship for Entrepreneurship at MIT.

Prior to launching RADDAR, Slobo worked for world renowned design architecture studios: I.M. Pei (NYC), ODBC (Paris), DPA (Paris), EMBT (Barcelona), and OMA (Hong Kong, NYC, Rotterdam). Slobo has over a decade of experience on more than sixty projects of different scales (events / exhibitions / interiors / architecture / master plans) and phases (concept, schematic & design development through construction administration) in Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America. In the capacity of the project leader or architect, Slobo was in direct contact with the client's project managers, consultants, as well as contractors, promptly responding to design challenges during the process of design and construction.

Join us!

We would love to hear from you! To apply, please read the information below - thank you!

RADDAR offers its colleagues full exposure to all phases of the projects, teaching them the business of architecture as well as the design. At RADDAR you will be paid what you ask for, without any negotiation, so please make sure to let us know what you would like to get paid! RADDAR offers 24 paid holidays, all Hong Kong public holidays, and pays overtime or gives compensation days (twice as many as spent during the overtime), depending on what you prefer.

The general working hours at RADDAR are Monday - Thursday, 10am-6pm. Most of RADDAR employees use Fridays to improve their skills, or they may simply take a day off to rest or to take care of their personal business. We encourage our employees to have a healthy work-life balance!

Salary payment: RADDAR operates with an entrepreneurial mindset. You will sign a contract for 80% of your expected salary, and then each working day you will receive between 0-30% of your expected salary based on your performance. You read that right: if you perform well, i.e. if you work diligently for 8 hours a day, 4 days a week, you will receive 110% of your expected salary!

Salary Example 1: our colleague James constantly delivers his tasks and always gets a 10% bonus on a daily basis, at the end of each 8-hour working day! Only once however James felt like slacking-off and decided to delay the production at his own will; consequently, James was deducted a daily payment by 20% due to his underperformance. Overall, James still received more than 100% of his expected salary for the month during which he slacked off for a day.

Salary Example 2: our colleague Cat wants to earn only ~100% of her salary and spend the rest of her time taking care of her young children; she works diligently for 90% of the month's working days, thus earning 90% + 0.1 x 90% (bonus) = 99% of her expected salary; Cat has an additional ~10% of her working time (about 2 extra working days per month) to spend with her family. Cat therefore gets an additional 24 holidays per year on top of the default 24 holidays per year, totaling 48 holidays per year! How would you like to spend your time working for RADDAR - please do let us know and we will make sure that you get the most out of your work at RADDAR!
